I Kind of Loved It!
After reading Loving Noel, I needed to read Claiming Xana ASAP to see how this story ended, and I’m glad I jumped into this book as fast as I did. Xana and Noels story finished in amazing fashion and pulled at my heartstrings and had me laughing, crying, and left with happy tears in my eyes!
With Noel now in college as well, his number one goal is to get Xana back, problem is she’s now dating Jeff, but that isn’t going to stop Noel, he’s just going to bide his time till it’s right and he can get her back. Jeff and Xana’s relationship is kind of odd and once you get to know him you will hate him, just like everyone else in Xana’s life (except for her brother) seem to as well. He’s controlling and has really changed Xana and I hated seeing the girl she had become from where we left her in Loving Noel. Noel on the other hand, has grown a lot since we last saw him, and he’s more mature, determined and definitely has his head on straight this time around. He knows he messed up and he knows what he wants, and I loved this about him. He only cares about Xana and knows he can’t force her back into his life, and I loved how he got her to trust him again.
Watching the cat and mouse game these two played with each other in the first part of the book was frustrating, yet satisfying at the same time. I didn’t want them to see each other and immediately have everything be wonderful between them, but seeing the pain they both still felt from being a part hurt, but in the end it was needed for them both to realize how much they really did care about one another. Xana also needed this time to figure things out in her life and what she really wanted, everything she’s been doing hasn’t been for herself the past year, so she really needed to figure out what SHE wanted and not what others wanted for her.
These two may be young, but the feelings they have for one another are strong and powerful, everything that could come between them did and they still find their way back to one another. There is so much that comes between them and tries to break them apart again in this book, but it only ends up bringing them closer together. I loved watching how protective Noel was over Xana and how strong their bond was in this book, it was stronger in this one than in Loving Noel. Also seeing how much closer Cade and Stacey have gotten and how their friendship between these two characters helped bring them together as well was awesome.
This series is a sweet and angsty read that I was unable to put down. I have a feeling this is the end for Noel and Xana’s story but I hope we got to see more of Stacey, Cade, and maybe even Gavin, and Mallory, because I have become addicted to this set of characters and am not ready to say goodbye to them yet. If you’re looking for a great read that will have you hooked from beginning to end, I highly suggest the Wildcat Graduates Series by Xana Jordan today!
