I Kind of Loved It!
Tess and Hardin’s story continues in After We Fell and the drama and angst is taken up another notch, but we finally see these characters grow and their relationship make big strides!
If you’ve been reading this series you know that Tess and Hardin have a unique relationship and they are fighting more than anything, nothing seems to be able to stop them from having problems, but they can’t seem to stay away from one another. They finally seem to grow up in this book and make some adult decisions, and both of them do some growing up. Sure there is still the angst, the drama, and there is still some immaturity on both their parts, but I loved watching these two starting to figure themselves out and growing as individuals and then being able to grow as a couple.
After We Fell dealt with some very difficult situations for both Tess and Hardin, but also as much as some of the things that happened sucked, it also helped put things into perspective for them. Watching Tess get her feet wet in her new job and her new life, and watching Hardin figure life out and how to deal with his anger in more healthy ways was amazing to see for both of them. They also learned to communicate better and I loved seeing them start to have a healthier relationship. Sure, they have a LONG way to go, but it was nice to see less juvenile things coming between these two in this book.
I really enjoyed the path that Anna Todd took the characters on in this book and after the ending of this book am thrilled to jump right into the next book. This series has become an addiction and I am going to be so sad when it’s time to say goodbye to these characters. If you haven’t picked this series up yet, definitely add it to your list today, but be warned, it is angsty and full of drama and you will want to strangle these characters every other chapter, but you will also love them and cheer for them all at the same time!
