I Liked It!
After finishing The Wrath of Cain, I needed to jump into Roan’s story and see how things played out for him. I really enjoyed his character in Cain’s book, but I loved him in this book!
The Redemption of Roan starts about 2 years after the last book ended, and Roan is in hot pursuit of Alina (Royal’s ex girlfriend). He is no longer after her to draw his evil brother out, but because she fascinates him and he can’t get her out of his head. Alina has lived a rough ten years since she last saw Royal, keeping things from everyone she loves to protect them. The things he has done to Alina are awful, and she’s dealt with it for a long time, and doesn’t let men in. She closes herself off, but there is something about Roan that she can’t deny herself.
When Alina finally acknowledges Roan and gives him a shot, things between them quickly heat up and it is HOT HOT HOT. The way he treats her is amazing and the dates he takes her on are swoon-worthy. Quickly Alina let’s him in and starts to share her secrets with him. With Roan’s help she is able to finally start to forget the past, and let her family back in. She’s against the world that her father and Roan are in, but learns to accept it for the people she loves.
This book is suspenseful, hot, sexy. and full of twists and turns. Everyone is on the look out for Royal and he is messing with both families in an awful way. He’s a horrible person and I loved seeing him get what he finally deserved in this book. After the things he did to Calla and Roan in the first book, and what we find out he did to Alina, he deserves what is coming to him and more! Even with everything going on with the hunt for Royal, Roan and Alina are able to start to build a beautiful and amazing relationship. Both of them needed each other more than they realized and helped each other move on from things in their past and become better people.
I really enjoyed this book and how fast paced it was. I fell in love hard with Roan and Alina‘s story, as well as getting to catch up with Calla and Cain. This is a bloody, dirty, and twisty book that I couldn’t put down! I really enjoyed Roan’s story and I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I’ve quickly fallen in love with these mafia families and can’t wait for more!
