I Liked It!
This is a quick, fast paced novel that had me falling in love with the bad boy.
When Avery, who seems to have everything, ends up going crazy on her ex’s truck after finding him cheating on her, she’s sentenced to 300 hours of community service. She never expected to meet the person that would change her life while doing her time. Seth is out on parole after beating the crap out of his stepfather, and still has to do community service. The first time he meets Avery (Fancy) he was immediately attracted to her, until she opened her mouth and he decided she was not for him.
The two of them are definitely opposite, and their perceptions of one another are so off base. Seth thinks that Avery is a stuck up little rich girl who gets whatever she wants, and Avery thinks Seth is a complete jerk and low life. Neither one of them want to admit to their attraction to one another, but finally they decide to act on it.
As these two get to know one another, and we get to know more about them, I started to love them. At first I wasn’t a big fan of Avery’s but throughout this book I really saw, like Seth, that she wasn’t what she seemed to be. I really enjoyed getting to see her character grow in this story. She went from worrying about her sorority, to learning what she really wanted, and fighting for the people she cares about. Seth also started to finally see he wasn’t the screw up he thought about, and I really enjoyed seeing his character grow as well.
Seth and Avery’s story is a whirlwind and super fast, but they couldn’t be more perfect for one another. Seth is the perfect “bad boy” and the way he cares about his family, Ryan and Avery is beautiful. The only thing that I wasn’t fond of in this story was how quickly it ended. The ending seemed to come too fast and left me with some questions still. I am hoping we get to see more of Seth and Avery in Ryan’s story, so we can get the epilogue I am dying for for them. This is an awesomely written story and the characters felt real to me. If you’re looking for a great new adult read with some twists, definitely pick up Right Where You Are today!
