I Liked It!
Vanished is a book that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end!
If you’re read The Beautiful Mess Series, then you know all about Alexander and Olivia Burnham, but don’t worry, you do NOT have to have read that series to read Vanished, this is a complete stand-alone, but it is nice for lovers of the series, to get to see these two in action once again. When Alex and Olivia’s daughter Melanie is taken time is running out trying to figure out who could behind it. As the story progresses we think we get the answers we want, but we truly never figure things out till the end.
I don’t want to get into what all goes down in this book, but let me say, there are so many twists and turns, lies and deceit, that it kept me on edge and I loved every single second of it. I was scared and worried right along with Alex and Olivia on if they would get their little girl back. I wanted to know who would do this to them, I wanted to know what would cause someone to go through the lengths that people went through in this book to get the retribution that they thought was deserved. You may think in the beginning you have it all figured out, I thought I did, but trust me, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
Not only is this a story of retribution, and a missing girl, but the story of a love so powerful that it truly can withstand almost anything. Alex and Olivia are two determined characters that love so fiercely it will make you jealous of how strong their love for one another is. Do they have their own secrets? Yes they definitely do, but for good reasons. Everything comes out in this book, even things you didn’t think could have an impact on why Melanie was taken, and it is a powerful story!
I really enjoyed Vanished, and how this story played out. How this book was put into three parts was awesome and I really enjoyed how we got inside the heads of multiple characters in this book. My heart broke at the loss of some characters and some of the things that happened in this book, but I really enjoyed the suspense and edginess of the story that T.K. Leigh told in Vanished. I just feel as if the ending was a little too rushed for my liking, every part of this book was so detailed and the last few chapters for me seemed like they were rushed, other than that I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it for lovers of The Beautiful Mess Series or anyone who loves a good suspense read!
