I Liked It!
Cinderella.com is a unique modern day retelling of Cinderella and River Laurent hit this one out of the park!
Cass is down on her luck, up to her ears in debt and everything is going awful for her, so when she has the opportunity to live for a month on a ranch in Montana and learn to ride horses, and pretend to be the infamous and hated Tamara Honeywell, she takes it. It will of course pay off her debt, and get her away from all the bad in her life. The problem is, Cass is too sweet and too nice to be anything like Tamara, and it’s funny to watch her try.
When Cass first meets Tamara I had a feeling things were going to be difficult for her pulling this act off, but when she gets to Montana, with how Lars treated her at first, she pulled out the attitude when needed, and things got heated between them. I loved the back and forth between these two. They wanted to hate each other, but you knew it was inevitable that they were going to give in and it was going to be explosive, and when it happened I was right, it was HOT!
Things at the ranch weren’t always easy for Cass, but I really enjoyed watching her relax and learn to love life and just be her. I hated the conflict she had with having to pretend to be Tamara when she really wanted people to know her instead, and it definitely added some interesting aspects into her relationship with Lars. She was conflicted a lot of the time in this book with him, and I felt for her because of the position she was in with him. If she didn’t need the money so bad, I would have said screw it and just told him, but because of the situation she was in, I understand why she kept it so quiet and stuck with the papers she signed.
This was a sweet and awesome retelling of Cinderella with some definitely hot scenes. I adored Lars’ character and Cass was amazing. I despised the real Tamara and her total disregard for everyone including herself, but at the same time, it was her disregard for everyone that gave us Cass and Lars’ story! If you are a fan of the fairy tale retelling, I highly suggest picking up Cinderella.com by River Laurent today! This story had laughs, angst, drama, and a ton of sexiness! Make sure to add this one to your TBR, you won’t regret it!
