I Loved It
I’ve been wanting Stuarts story since meeting him in One To Love, and Tia Louise did NOT disappoint!
I loved the way this story played out between Stuart and Mariska, even though even I think Mariska may have been a little crazy with how she showed up on the ranch to see Stuart. This story definitely has some darker elements, but some very happy loving ones as well, and even a few laugh out loud moments. I am a huge fan of the characters in this series and love how you can read the books as stand alones.
Stuart is struggling with something, and runs off to his uncles ranch to hide out and deal with his demons. When Derek and Patrick show up, it doesn’t go as well as Derek would have hoped, but when Elaine ends up flying out to meet Patrick, Mariska ends up flying out too, knowing there is a need to be near Stuart, even though she just met him briefly at the gym.
I loved the dreams that Mariska was having, and how closely they tied to Stuart. These two were definitely meant to be together, but making Stuart realize this, was definitely a chore. I loved how he went from pushing her as far away as possible, to wanting to be near her and wanting her, to then pushing her away again. There is definitely a lot of back and forth between these two characters and you really don’t know if Stuart will realize what he’s missing out on, before it’s too late.
Stuart and Mariska are definitely on the top of my favorite couples in this series, there is just something so different, and beautiful about them, that you can’t help but fall in love with them and hope for the best.
The ending, and epilogue of this book was beautiful, I loved seeing all of the characters from the previous books all in one place, and can’t wait to read One to Stay this spring when it releases.
I am a huge fan of Tia Louise’s and each book she writes gets better than better! If you’re looking for a super sexy cowboy with a past to fall in love with One to Leave is definitely the book to pick up!
