I Loved It
I am a huge fan of Lexi Ryan’s and was so excited to see Sam Liz’s story. This book definitely did NOT disappoint, and will definitely leave you counting down the days till the second book is released.
If you’ve read the New Hope or Here and Now Series by Lexi you have met Liz, she’s Hanna’s twin sister, but this story is her and Sams.
To say that these two have a messed up past, is being nice, she has been hung up on Sam for as long as she can remember, and thinks the only thing he has to offer her is sex, and a lot of it. Things between them are very strained during the beginning of this book due to an indiscretion made by Liz the summer before. We find out later what this was, and I can understand completely why there is a riff between them.
The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and you are pulling for them to work it out and be happy through the entire book. There is another piece of this book that leads Liz back into Sam’s life. She is using a new online dating service and has been chatting back and forth with “River” who she has convinced herself is Sam. When she finds out who “River” is , or who she thinks it is, things definitely get very interesting. And when you find out who “River” is you will die, and be begging for book 2.
I loved these characters, as well as getting to see snippets of how the other characters in this town are doing, from the previous series. I feel bad for the crap both of these characters have dealt with and what they are dealing with currently. I can only hope that in the last book, they get their happy ever after. I feel as if the ending of Something Reckless is only just the beginning of troubles for these two, there is so much they need to work through if they truly do want to be together.
I will be impatiently waiting for the second (last) book in this series to see how everything plays out for Sam and Liz.
