I LOVED IT!
If you loved the first two books in the Bad Boys Series by M. Leighton “Everything For Us” will NOT disappoint! Granted, I still wanted more of Olivia and Cash, but Marissa and Nash in no way let us down.
We pick up where Up To Me left off. Marissa is home, and she’s rethinking who she is. Being kidnapped and going through what she went through has really changed her perspective on life. Nash is around, and Marissa is drawn to him, but knows he’s not good for her, (he definitely warns her of this!) but can’t keep away.
Marissa and Nash’s chemistry is UNDENIABLE and HOT HOT HOT! When the decide to go to the Law Library to do research on the case to save the boy’s father, and then to the charity event for her father, you can feel the chemistry between the two, just reading the book. Wow, just WOW! and when things finally heat up between them, M. Leighton did NOT disappoint.
I loved Nash (granted in Up To Me and in the beginning of Everything For Us, I really had conflicted feelings about him). Learning more about his past, and what he had to go through, being separated from his brother, and his father, watching his mom’s murder, makes your heart break for him. You know he’s bad, but you want to believer there is good in him as well. His rough, edgy, attitude makes him intriguing, and I loved his character I think more then Cash!
This story had me in tears, and stressing out! I really had no clue how this book was going to end! It was not predictable, not what I expected, and had me on edge. But even with that “what is going to happen?”, “will they finally get together for real?”, “WHAT IS HE/SHE THINKING!?” moments, it made this book even better!
The story of Marissa becoming the “new” Marissa is also amazing, I really did not like her in the first two books, she was a stuck up bitch! But the “new” Marissa was someone I liked. Her struggle of standing up to her dad, figuring out who she wants to be, and who the people in her life that really matter are, are things all of us go through (probably not as harsh as her though), and really made this story believable. Life is not always fun and easy, you have to do things that you know people are not going to like, to become the person you want and need to be.
Nash on the other hand, he’s rough, very angry, and sometimes a huge asshole! You want him to change, you want him to be the “good guy” but you really don’t know if he will ever truly be that guy. He’s stubborn, and irritating, and you just want to scream at him.
The anxiety I felt reading this book, was something I haven’t had happen in a long time. I love this series, and am glad we have some finality for Cash and Olivia. This is an amazing read, and the perfect ending for this series. I’m not going to say what happens with Nash and Marissa, and you’ll have to read this to a. read their story, and b. see how it all ends.
This is a definite MUST READ, but make sure you have time to read it all! I had to read it over the course of a few days because work, and other obligations, and I couldn’t stop thinking “what is going to come next?”. If you haven’t read the first two books (Down to You , Up to Me) you have to read these first before Everything For Us, or you will be completely lost.
M. Leighton did an amazing job conveying pain, anger, sexual tension, and OMG What is happening here! I really loved this book and hope you all will to!
“I wonder to myself if he does things like that because he’s that thoughtless, or if it’s because he likes total control. Maybe it’s a bit of both. One thing is for sure – the thought of giving him total control, of letting him take the reins, of letting him take me , gives me a thrill like no other”
