Kizzy Liked It
I love this series, but I will honestly say this one was good 🙂 Blake is still my fave.
So we met Cameron in the last book which was Rex and Gia’s story. Who knew the emotional pain that he was experiencing. Eve (real name Yvette) we know from Raven and Jonah’s book. She sure has a lot of sass on her and to be honest, I didn’t even feel like she was only 21, so the 17 year age difference between her and Cam didn’t even matter.
Cam and Eve are both broken and when they finally meet, talk about chemistry!! Eve is so used to thinking less of herself because of the way she was treating growing up..her mother left and her father was a piece of trash that verbally, physically and emotionally abused her, yet she still supports his habit. She’s been on her own taking care of herself and Raven and her favorite teacher are the the only family she has. totally heartbreaking. Once Raven got with Jonah, he and the guys became her family too. I love how they all protect her.
Cam…where do we start with him? He is dealing with guilt from what happened to his daughter. He was a fighter years ago, but an accident caused him to stop. He has a few issues, as far as remembering things, etc..but wow.. Never did he expect Eve and what she did to him.
There was so much going on with them. One minute he cant stay away, next minute he cant get enough of her. It took something major that happened to make him really admit how he felt for her. He made me want to slap him a few times after that and she was frustrating too at times. There’s nothing worse than assuming..you need to talk to the person to get the true story. Plain and simple. Also, I know she was used to being treating like crap from men, but I wish she didn’t talk about herself the way she did at times. I’m glad things turned out the way they did because these two were putting me through it. LOL What warmed my heart though was how Eve was with the ladies in Cam’s life. What a turnout that was. Didn’t see that coming. I don’t know if some women would be able to deal with that, but Eve stepped up and did her thing. In the process, she helped another family start to heal.
There are some guys who I loved through this book too that need to be mentioned.. Mason and Ryder 🙂 I am really hoping these two can get stories of their own. 🙂
Overall I liked this book. I have been a huge fan of this series and I look forward to what’s next. 🙂
If you haven’t read them, you are missing out!!
