I Liked It!
Amanda and Jordan’s book is everything I expected and more! After reading Just Friends, I knew I needed this book ASAP to see how things played out between these two intriguing and opposite characters.
Amanda became Livvy’s new friend after all the drama that came about in Just Friends, former band geek, quiet, and keeps to herself, she has no clue why uber popular Jordan Tuttle wants anything to do with her, but he pursues her like crazy and finally she decides to give him a chance. Jordan on the other hand, is aloof, and runs hot and cold that sometimes he even gave me whiplash! He wants Amanda, but he lets his own drama and personal problems get in the way and ends up hurting her over and over again.
This book did have the angst and drama that we’ve come to expect from Monica Murphy novels, but it wasn’t as angsty as previous books, which was a nice reprieve from some of the books I’ve read lately. I loved the back and forth between Amanda and Jordan, the will they or the won’t they. I hated how everyone seemed to take advantage of Amanda’s kindness and good heart, but I loved how she started to stick up for herself towards the end of this book. I wish Jordan would have realized sooner what he had with Amanda, but I’m glad she stopped putting up with his crap and decided to do what was best for herself.
More than Friends had me hooked from beginning to end, and I adored this story, the ending though?! I need another book in this series ASAP! Please tell me one is coming soon?! Because the way this one ended is just not OK! If you’re looking for a young adult romance full of angst and drama, I highly suggest the Friends Series by Monica Murphy!
