I Absolutely Loved It!
This book had me from the first sentence. I picked it up and could not put my Kindle down. This is my warning to you.. do NOT start this book if you have somewhere to be, because you will not make it, as you will be glued to wherever you are and stuck inside this book till you reach the end.
Paper Princess makes you think you’re going to get a fairy tale, but it’s the complete opposite. We meet Ella who has had a hard life, and she’s swept into a life that is the complete opposite of what she knows and something most girls would dream of, but instead it’s a nightmare. Callum Royal is her guardian and he wants to make her life better, but his boys want to make her life a living hell, and for the most part they do. Reed is the leader of the boys and what he says goes, and his personal mission is to make Ella’s life hell. When he sees she won’t break and she fights right back things definitely get interesting.
I loved how resilient Ella’s character was, and how much she wanted to hate Reed, but she couldn’t fight the feelings she had for him either. She ended up breaking down all of the boys and winning them over, but even then, there are still secrets and darkness to each and every one of them. This story had me sucked in with all the twists and turns and secrets and lies that we found out. Even with all of that, there was some laughs and sexiness thrown in that made this book one of my favorite reads of the year. There is so much that happens that just can’t be talked about in a review without spoiling everything. I will say that it ends in a massive cliff-hanger and I will immediately be jumping into book two to see what happens next.
This is the perfect read to end 2016 with, especially if you’ve been in a reading funk like I seem to have been lately. This book pulled me in and didn’t let me go. The story is absolutely amazing and the characters are beautifully written. I couldn’t stop myself from getting stuck in this book and forgetting everything else going on around me. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what happens next for these characters!
