I Liked It!
The Sinners of Saint Series continues with Dean’s story in Ruckus, and if you’re looking for a dark and vicious story like Vicious, this is not it. Dean is a lot softer than his friend and hothole partner Vicious, but he has his own demons to deal with in this book as well.
Dean may be a manwhore, an alcoholic, and just a party boy, but he also has a heart and it belongs to Rosie “Baby” LeBlanc, the problem is she won’t give him the time of day and hasn’t for 11 years since he dated her sister Millie. Rosie on the other hand, still has feelings for Dean, but she’s also dealing with her own problems, a life threatening disease, and she doesn’t want to let people get too close to her. These two are a mess and watching them finally give in to the temptation that is there between them and watching the ride they go on is crazy!
When Dean and Rosie are forced to be near each other for Vicious and Millie’s wedding and Rosie needs someone, she can’t believe it when it’s Dean she calls, and when she finally gives into him it is HOT and I loved watching these to finally have their chance at the happily ever after they deserved, but life and everything else get in the way. Both of them have secrets and even when everything is going right for them they are sitting there waiting to explode and ruin everything, like a ticking time bomb.
Watching these two deal with everything that came out, and figuring out how to be in a relationship when neither of them had truly done it before and been “all in” was cute and angsty and HOT at the same time, but at times I felt this book drug on too much. Dean’s secret was crazy, but Rosie’s was anti-climatic and not surprising since she had already let it slip to him already, and she should have known that he wouldn’t have cared after how many times he had told her no matter what he wanted her.
Over all this was a really great book, watching the hotholes in action and continuing to get older is amazing to see, but watching Vicious and Millie finally saying “I Do” and seeing Dean and Rosie getting their own version of a HEA is really what made this book amazing. I truly enjoy these characters and can’t wait to see who’s book we get next and what crazy ride we are taken on!
